# Staff Engineer (Remote)

The Radicle Foundation is looking for exceptional individuals to join
its mission to foster a more humane Internet.

Candidates should be highly independent and creative problem solvers,
great communicators and passionate about peer-to-peer technologies. We
are looking for senior software engineers with experience in Rust,
networking protocols, distributed systems and cryptography, with a
proven track record writing high-quality software, to work on key
components of the Radicle stack.

At the foundation, we work fully in the open. The ideal candidate has
experience with open source maintainership, can plan and work in the open
and clearly communicate designs and trade-offs with the community.

We are looking for a few senior software engineers to help lead the effort
in building a new software stack and set of protocols for secure and fully
decentralized code collaboration.

*Requirements*

* 10 years of experience as a software engineer
* Strong knowledge of Rust
* Ability to work remotely
* Experience with open-source software development
* Ability to lead engineers
* Strong written communication skills
* Ability to work with and write technical specifications
* Ability to give and take detailed code review
* Desire to write well tested, clean, and well documented code

*Nice to haves*

* Experience with Git internals
* Experience with peer-to-peer and distributed programming
* Experience with networking protocols
* Experience with cryptography
* Experience with CRDTs
* Experience in software supply chain security

*Compensation*

* Salary in the range of $150K-$250K/year depending on experience
