Rob Craig has spent the past ~6 years managing Technical Committees, specifcation documents, and standards related programs and training for IEEE. Rob is an expert in standards development topics such as normative referencing, standards construction, and has been an IEEE expert available to their communities. He has been onboarding IEEE developers into the IEEE standards community which is directly applicable to what we do in JDF. He has used training to expand conformance programs and standards development. Rob will be a huge source of knowledge and support for the new Working Groups formed under Overture, and will be able to help teach developers about specification development in the process.

The Standards PM team is currently short on headcount so we have gaps on GraphQL (Jory is currently covering) with AOUSD (confidential) starting to privately sign members in May (public launch in August). Our plan is to allocate Rob 70% to Overture Maps Foundation, with 30% allocated to SPDX (LF funded). We could allocate Rob to GraphQL but SPDX is a more immediate priority to fill with the 3.0 launch needing coordination.
