### Who hosts this twitter bot ?

My name is Rickytsung. (X : @rickytsung) A programmer that currently studies in NTNU. Special thanks to some helps from other enthusiasts who also like JP mahjong and coding.

### What does (a)段M(b) mean ?

It's originated from baseball game's magic number. (a)段M(b) means the player needs at least (b) round to promote to rank (a) dan (段). If it is M1 than it's 昇段戦.

### Why the bot is down sometimes ?

We host this service on bot-hosting.net

If one of the following is down, then our bot will be suspended.

tenhou (I think it's easy to understand)
nodocchi (The data come from here)
X's api (Without the api we can't send messages)

### Why some of the messages are not correct ?

The "fun facts" section explains more. Since we crawl data from nodocchi. If your data on nodocchi is wrong then our message will be wrong. In this case you can report us and we'll fix it on this side. If it's correct on nodocchi, it is cause by the special cases of R delta correction algorithm.

### Fun facts
Here is some fun fact about the bot:

1. Believe it or not, it was a disocrd bot originally and it was for my e-portfolio (self project) so I can study in university lol.

2. It used replit to free-host first (when it is still DC bot) but replit sucks and it doesn’t give a service anymore. Later, I changed it to http://bot-hosting.net. It’s free and more stable than replit. Its a little harder to use at first but not bad. It is more stable and consistent than replit, too. Thanks the team of bot-hosting for this wonderful service!

3. I use nodocchi to get the player rank and pt. Special thanks to the administrator (末原) of this awesome website.

4. The data of nodocchi is actually not in real time. It's not nodocchi fault but the delay 5 minutes. Therefore, I use the rating delta to fix this issue. However, it is not 100% accurate in some special cases. Also, I found a few people’s are not correct on nodocchi due to the data loss of it. If you are the one, please contact us and we’ll fix it.

5. Finally, it is been a wild journey and it’s pretty inspiring to see someone I’m familiar on the twitter. In my opinion, (昇段) promoting is the most exciting thing to watch. I hope we can see more (or even me?) in the future. Thank you ❤️
