# S05 Ep 2 Character Idea **Background** - A duke's or a lord's or some kind of unimportant ruler's second son. - The boy's a gambler, indebted to a bandit gang, unloved by his father. - Gets in trouble for his debt with the gang, is kidnapped from the homestead - The lord (the father) doesn't pay the ransom. Character is taken as a slave. Because of his arrogance, big mouth and numerous failed attempts to flee, he is finally left to die slowly - swinging upside down from a tree. - Fortunately, a witcher (master maybeee?) finds Him and brings him to the school of the Wolf. He is now there at Kaer Tiele, hoping that his father will go get him and return him home. - But we all know that his father doesn't care too much about the character - he got himself in this trouble, he deserves what's coming for him. Besides, He always knew that his big brother was the favorite son in the family. - Now in the den of the wolves - he needs to learn to survive - to drop the arrogance and pretense - he is a nobody after all, not even his family cared to save him. **Character traits** Quick Wit (something to work on...) Displays arrogance and carries an air of importance on the outside. Tells others how his father's money will solve his problems and get him out of that hole. On the inside - he's a vulnerable and deluded boy - uses the charade of his fancy clothes and his father's title as a cover, but he knows he's unimportant to his family, and definitely a nobody to everyone at Kaer Tiele. **Physical traits** Has held a sword when he was younger - he was trained by his father, and has sparred with his older brother using wooden swords. Not fit, but also not weak. Should have enlisted into the king's bootcamp the year before -but he never showed up. Fighting and wars are for peasants and for low-lifes. **Looks** ??? **Influence and inspiration** Draco Malfoy, ??? **Potential Encounters** Father shows up (or sends a herald) during a class - disowns him, and refuses to take him back home. His group now sees him as a nobody. He must adapt to this new life.
