# Site Reliability Engineer

Blast Motion is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to join our cloud engineering team.

We are looking for a motivated individual who prefers to live on the cutting edge of cloud infrastructure management, Application Performance Management (APM), and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).

An ideal candidate would have both software engineering experience as well as DevOps/Sysadmin experience however we are open to anyone passionate about creating organized, efficient, and scalable cloud infrastructure which is easy to deploy and maintain.

## Some things you might work on

- Provision new AWS infrastructure with Terraform or Pulumi
- Configure monitoring of deployed software with Elastic APM
- Build CI/CD pipelines in Gitlab CI
- Assist the architect and lead engineer with technology selection
- Deploy and manage Feature-Flags with LaunchDarkly in order to reduce risk and enable continuous delivery
- Configure alarms and alerts
- Enable better security by configuring automated dependency vulnerability scanning
- Convert legacy AWS infrastructure to IaC with Terraform

## Other responsibilities

- Front-line for Production monitoring + response in case of issues
- Works on the design of new features / functionality to ensure Security + Resiliency + Monitoring are baked into every release.
- Works with QA to understand and rationalize the resiliency of systems prior to rollout
- Works with PMO, Engineering on releases

## Qualifications

### Required

- 2 years experience as SRE, software engineer, or systems administrator
- 1 years experience with Amazon Web Services
- Comfortable working with Docker / Containers
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred
- some combination of Python, sh script, JavaScript experience
- Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and APM implementation experience
- Active Green Card or U.S. citizenship
- Pass background check and reference check
