# TRUST COMMUNITY FAQ #### What is Trust Community @EthCC [3] about? The main idea is to help you connect with other attendees and together, build networks of trust around topics within the community. You'll earn some Nectar tokens for taking part, and hopefully make some friends along the way :) #### What is the QR code in the card for? The QR code is used to activate your pseudonymous identity. You can scan it from your mobile device camera (if it supports QR reading), QR reader application, or by directly inputting the URL specified in the card. Note that it only works once. #### Do I need to install anything on my device? No, the application is just a webapp running from your browser. It uses local storage to keep track of your identity and application information. During the onboarding process, you'll be asked to save your identity file. This a backup of your identity -- a binary file containing the keys of your ID. You can use it to recover your session (if you accidentally delete your browser's local storage for example). You'll also need it for the final token airdrop. #### Which browsers are supported? This app is meant to be used on mobile, and the supported browsers are Chrome (Android) and Safari (iOS). #### Can I use the application in incognito mode? No you can't, because we use your browser's local storage to store your identity's keys. Deleting the session will cause the keys to disappear which means you'll need to recover your identity from backup. Note that some information, such as the name of your connections won't be restored. #### Why do I need to endorse my connections? The experiment is setup like this. We want to explore the concept of endorsing members (by giving badges) in specific topics. These topics represent skillsets that the community itself curates. #### Why can't I remove all the badges I've given to my connection? Even though you may add and remove badges after connecting, every connection you make is required to have at least one endorsement from you at all times. #### The application seems to have frozen, what should I do? This application is very much an experimental webapp for EthCC [3]. It's not optimized for all devices and browsers, so performance might not be perfect. If you come across a problem, we recommend you refresh the website, restart the browser and visit trustcommunity.io again. Your identity should be automatically recovered from your local storage, if it's not, import your identity from backup. #### While connecting, my QR code seems difficult to scan, why is this the case? The QR codes that link to our identities are complex because they are BabyJubJub based -- this complexity is needed in order to enable zero-knowledge proofs. If you're having problems, please increase the brightness of your screen and make sure the QR code is shown completely. Some browsers even allow you to zoom in to increase the QR code's size. If this still doesn't work, try scanning your connection's code instead. #### So, what will happen when the conference is over? When will I be able to claim my tokens? We'll need a few weeks after EthCC to prepare the application to request the participation claim with your earned tokens and perform the airdrop. Our best estimate is March 24th. You'll be able to do claim your tokens anonymously from your browser within the same application.
