# 2020/03/27 Prof. Pai H. Chou, National Tsing Hua University, "IoT for Enabling Precision Medicine"

周百祥教授介紹了什麼是Precision Diagnosis，現今傳統醫療的模式基本上為醫師問診的方式，而從病人的回答或是醫師的誤診都有導致延誤正確醫療的風險，所以Precision Medicine這個概念就浮現了。
Precision Medicine從Nature期刊中的解釋為"Health care individually tailored on the basis of a person's genes, lifestyle and environment"。
現今做Precision Medicine的三大領域為
1. Gene therapies
2. Pharmacogenetics
3. Outpatient environment and behavior

而周百祥教授的實驗室主要是focus 在第三大領域，Outpatient environment and behavior。
- 什麼是Outpatient呢？

Outpatient指的是就診完，不需要住院治療或觀察的病人，也就是可以回家趴趴走的病人。
接下來周百祥教授介紹了兩個可穿戴式的IOT device 來輔助病人的例子。
- 第一個是Wearable ECG，可以隨時監控自己的心律狀況。
- 第二個則是Asthmagram: Wearable Asthma-tracking Patch，他可以偵測呼吸道的狀況，一些生理資訊等等。

結論：
透過Wearable IOT sensors所獲取的資訊，可以減少在診斷時的偏見，進而達到Precision Medicine的目標。
