## Pulp 2 End of Life Announcement

After over 2 years of maintenance mode, Pulp 2 will End of Life on **November 30, 2022.**

The milestone events, descriptions, and dates for the affected Pulp 2 project are shown below:

| Event | Description| Date |
| -------- | -------- | -------- |
| Maintenance Mode | The date when Pulp 2 entered maintenance mode. | June 15, 2020|
| End Of Life Announcement | The date this announcement is being made public. | September 19, 2022|
| End Of Maintenance | The last date after which the Pulp 2 project will no longer issue maintenance releases which can include only critical bug fixes and security issues. After this date Pulp Engineering will no longer maintain or test the software. Maintenance releases will continue to be available through this date. | November 30, 2022|
| End Of Life | The last date after which Pulp 2 project support will no longer be available. | November 30, 2022 |

### Pulp 2 Migration/Upgrade Options

An existing Pulp 2 installation can use the Migration plugin to migrate from Pulp 2 to Pulp 3. For more information how to use the Migration plugin see the [documentation](https://docs.pulpproject.org/pulp_2to3_migration/).
