The computational metabolomics group at Chalmers BIO is active in three areas: Metabolomics data generation, Omics data analysis and Associations between exposures, omics and health. ## Machine learning, molecular epidemiology & the exposome Machine learning is a set of statistical tools used for inference which have reached higher potential with the increase of computational power. We develop machine learning and epidemiological modelling tools, such as MUVR and Triplot, and use genomics, proteomics and metabolomics data to evaluate how combined environmental exposures regulate metabolic pathways and how that regulation in turn relates to risk factors for non-communicable diseases.
