- automatically follow on mastodon those I follow on Twitter
- send a mastodon DM to people that follow me on twitter telling who I am, when they join this service

There used to be a bridge maintained by the main developer that informed of the connections, I don't know why it was discontinued.

So I took a look last night and it's definitely possible (https://t.co/GlhCuwtGGX in API v2, and https://t.co/UxggLoNqv7 (followers and "friends" for following).

Didn't dig into what the limits are or how ugly the content (returned objects) is though.

I assume that's under the hood of what @renatolond was pointing us at though I didn't go pulling source code yet to see.

Big thing would be hitting API limits, but if it's a "Getting the hell out of Dodge^W Twitter" read-only thing that might not bite the services doing it.

There's a mastodon twitter repeater. That's what I've been using.

It only works for original posts, not replies. But it helps.

You mean as a mastodon instance?

If you want to build a mastodon instance, I'm game.

I agree. I had an instance once and the code is a house of cards. It's traumatizing.

Sadly they say you can migrate but that's not really true: you can duplicate but not carry your social graph.

And social graph is everything. The result of our interactions. Our reputation.

Let's say, people should agree to add themselves to directory (I'm x at twitter and y at mastodon) and system

allows a bulk follow based on who you follow

Syoure talking about a translation directory. Probably backed by both authentications.

Mastodon twitter reposter KINDA has that. And I kinda know the dude (expat brazilians are a CLAN) if it interests you.
