# YumbaB2C - Rewardful POC ## Findings ### Main 1. Rewardful can only work on live mode. Affiliates can not be created using Stripe test mode. ### Commission 1. Payment is a must for counting a commission. 2. A pre-generated coupon can be automatically applied if it's a referral - https://help.getrewardful.com/en/articles/3024552-double-sided-incentives?_ga=2.163838136.629380210.1658211106-2124234642.1657547483 3. Needs to paid out manually as a Credit Balance Transaction on Stripe. Payouts are only available via WiseStamp or Paypal. 4. Full information about who was referred etc. is available in the API. ### User Links 1. You can add new links along with older links. 2. You can only update the old link. There is no way to delete it. 3. If the link is changed before the user completes onboarding, the lead wouldn't convert. So if we want that lead to count and convert, we'll have to create a new link and then plan for something like slowly phasing out the old link (a cron job that'd run after 1-2 days). ## Setup Steps 1. Make sure you have finished the integration of Rewardful into your marketing website/dev environment. 2. If possible, create a trial period to simulate actual signup or purchase. If not possible, proceed with an actual charge, you may refund the charged amount later on. 3. Create a test affiliate account. 4. Once the affiliate is created, go to Affiliates > name of Affiliate > Links. 5. Copy the affiliate link. 6. Open up an incognito browser or a different browser with a clean cache and no adblocker extension. 7. Paste the affiliate link on the browser you copied on STEP 5. 8. Proceed with the checkout/signup flow. 9. Once checkout/signup is complete, go to your Stripe account. 10. Go to Customers > test email address of the test purchase. 11. Check the Metadata section, check for the field labeled "referral" and the value is alphanumeric character. If not present, contact us for further support. STEP 6 is important as this will simulate a referred customer. Use incognito/private browsing mode that doesn't have an adblocker. Or use a different browser wherein the cache and cookies are clean and there's no adblocker. Also, use an email address that is not yet present in your Stripe Customer record section. ###### tags: `Yumba`
