# An ERC PR Review Blitz
Aimed at decreasing the number of Open PRs, improving review velocity, community engagement, and proposal quality in the Ethereum standards process:
## Goal
Accelerate review of open ERC pull requests (PRs) through focused collaboration and visibility, while encouraging authors, editors, and contributors to participate actively.
### 1. Planning Phase (2–3 weeks before)
#### a. Inventory & Categorization
- [ ] Group Open PRs
* Draft/ new proposal
* Existing ERC update
* Status change
* Typo
* Final ERC update
* Misc.
- [ ] Share a GitHub issue Agenda with list for visibility and accepting queries.
#### b. Identify Participants
- [ ] Reach out to ERC editors, reviewers, and PR authors.
- [x] Sam Wilson [Confirmed]
- [x] Xinbenlv (Victor) [Confirmed]
- [ ] Matt Garnett [Waiting on a response]
- [x] Gajinder Singh [Unsure of the contribution due to limited interaction with ERC proposals.]
- [ ] Invite projects/protocol teams who might benefit from reviewing or championing ERCs.
### c. Format & Date
**ERC Blitz Day - June 10th, 2025**
- [ ] Choose between:
* Async (Blitz weeks) -
* Live Review Session (1–2 focused calls)
* Pick a week with low conflict with major Ethereum events or upgrades.
### 2. Promotion (1–2 weeks before)
- [ ] Create promotional material: agenda, FEM/blog post, tweets, memes.
- [ ] Share:
* Review goals (e.g. merge 5 PRs, review 10)
* How to participate (GitHub links, Office Hour invites)
* Recognition: shoutouts, POAPs, etc.
### 3. Execution Week
#### a. Daily Theme or Focus
• Monday = NFT/ERC-721-related, Tuesday = Wallet/ERC-4337, etc.
#### b. Live Calls / Office Hours
* Host 1–2 focused calls for real-time discussion on popular or stuck PRs.
* Invite PR authors to explain their proposals in 5-min pitches.
#### c. Async Coordination
* Use GitHub issues, Discord, or FEM forum for async updates.
* Editors can comment daily on progress, blockers, or PRs needing extra help.
### 4. Wrap-Up
#### a. Achievements
Track and publish metrics:
* of PRs reviewed
* merged / closed / labeled as stagnant
* New contributors onboarded
#### b. Shoutouts
* Recognize contributors and editors publicly.
* Issue POAPs or profile badges to authors, editors, supporter and participants of the blitz.
#### c. Follow-Up
* Schedule a follow-up review call (e.g. 6 months later).
* Highlight next priorities (e.g. create editors backlog, improve templates).
### Tools & Logistics
* GitHub Labels: review-blitz, needs-editor, ready-to-merge
* Nice to have: GitHub project board or dashboard for visual overview
