# Dragon Heist What If... Soluun Killed Amyr?
It was the next morning. She hadn't slept much. Say what you will for the City Watch, even they will come running when they hear a gunshot in the Dock Ward... eventually. She had spent most of the night explaining it to them, as best she could. There were parts she had a hard time explaining, a hard time understanding. Who was the man who had killed Amyr? What was a drow gunslinger doing in Waterdeep?
The hardest question, though: why had she let Amyr walk home alone?
She knew what she had been thinking at the time. He'd confessed a love she wasn't ready to deal with. She'd needed space. Time.
There wasn't any time left.
There was a knocking on her door. Someone was asking if she was okay. What awas she going to say? Beregor, Kaviad, Lucian, Kanorak... they all had their own reasons to grieve right now. They didn't need to try and carry her burdens too.
Besides. She hadn't loved Amyr. That's what it came down to, wasn't it? He'd confessed a love for her... that she didn't feel in return. So she shouldn't have it worse than any of the rest of them, right?
Right?
Eventually, she forced herself out of bed. She got dressed, in her armor. Putting the armor on somehow... it didn't help, but it was like putting an armor over her pain and sadness as well. Buttoning it up. She opened the door to her room.
She went down to the common room, ignoring their looks. "I'm fine. Let's do something about this."
