# Kindergarten Curriculum Night 2021

## IDentity Book

- Book is coming home Friday for with the "how you got your name" lesson.
- Sit down with them in the identity
- Allow him to take the lead on how he depicts the family thru drawing and writing as well as pictures

## Book "Baggies"

- needs to be returned **every Monday**
- Explains the "superpowers" and snap words which is words on a key ring
- Books in the bag should be independent if they are struggling then just work with them to help them get through
- There will be a insert in the book baggie and they asked that you use similar language.

- Identity Book has been iterated many times on allowing the individualistic interpretation of self so allowing Elijah to be define who he is **now**
- Not meant to be a "source of stress"
- 5th grade buddies are starting in **October**
- Outside activities because of the "zero-noise level"
- Make sure to check seesaw, teachers describe it as the "Instagram of the classroom"
- OK to take a nap before Math during the quiet time. It lasts about 15 minutes.
