Plan for 200-250 participants > (N.B. PnM19 had 166 official participants, plus FU students during plenary sessions) - becoming a (major) Sponsor > we should consider them as Presenting Sponsor [name=Win Olario] - support and assist in the organizing activities - collaborate in the program development to include a track for drone-related activities (workshops, participatory community engagement) - assist in enlisting sponsors/supporters from their networks - During the meeting several possible venues were floated: - Angela suggested Bicol University (Legazpi Campus) but was considered infeasible for drone flights because it's within 10km of the airport - I mentioned that we had informal convo with - Guagua LGU - Philippine Science HS, CAR Campus - Rene thought about [University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF)](https://uspf.edu.ph/) and the advantage of them/TAF/FEF already having a working relationship with the uni. - Potential participants/supporters/sponsors, according to TAF * Orgs they can ask to support PnM20 * aero360 * LMB? * Sky Flix? * RASA * Rainbow * DJI * Victory * Certeza * Insurance Companies * participants they hope to attract to the conference * geodetic engineers * denr/lmb divisions - survey and titling * drone flyers, c/o UPAP network * lgu agencies * Rene mentioned the idea of having a Drone Racing activity * I reiterated the following: * Organizing group's status as an informal association, and Rene acknowledged that that is clear with them and will help us any way they can. * I also mentioned that we're keen to organize formally this year but organizing PnM20 is being done in parallel * Also underscored that I am not representing the group in the meeting (in fact, told them there was no organizing teams yet) but will communicate their proposal to like-minded folks who are keen to volunteer for PnM20 * We agreed to continue future discussions over email/electronically (many of the participants arrived late, due to traffic congestion), as soon as they receive word from USPF that venue, facilities, equipment are available for the schedule they wanted. * I asked Rene to clarify the role they want to undertake for PnM20, and they said they want to become a sponsor and assist in the organizing efforts, but don't want to be the lead organizer * Rene said they will help with marketing and media coverage before, during and after the conference * will arrange to ask media outlets to conduct interviews volunteers/advocates from OSM/Map-py friends leading up to the conference * they have a "troll army" ready for SocMed  * Also, Rene mentioned about their Coalition for Change project and is planning to invite several people from our communities to join their leadership development workshops in Manila. No timeline mentioned. ## Action Items - [x] 1/9: Email the concept notes/last years program to the following - [ ] 2019w3: Sound-off USPF as venue partner and check availability of facilities, equipment, volunteers, etc.
