# PNM20 announcements [TOC] ### W09 Pista ng Mapa 2020 - Save the date! Mabuhay! You probably heard we're running another Pista ng Mapa (Festival of Maps) conference this [year][0] , organized by advocates from the local advocates of OpenStreetMap, OsGeo/FOSS4G, and other map-py/geospatial technology communities in the Philippines. Pista ng Mapa is a not-for-profit event that celebraes the sucess of open maps, open data, and free software, and reach out to nascent user communities outside the capital region. It will be held in Cebu, Philippines at the University of Southern Philippines Foundation on May 27-29. We hope to bring again together open data and free software enthusiasts, users especially nascent communities outside the capital region but will be delighted to meet contributors from neighboring countries. Official conference language is English. Registration is free, and the calls for presentations will be announced later this week. We'd like to remind you that there is a big conference coming up: the Pista ng Mapa 2020 in Cebu City, Philippines. How big? Well, half a thousand attendees have already registered. It's time for you to buy a flight and meet us and other GIS enthusiasts and professionals on 6th of March: https://pistangmapa.github.io/2020 Why so big? Well, it's just a part of a bigger conference: Baltic GIT is not related to version control systems, but to geospatial technologies. Think of it as a partly local FOSS4G, only with less focus on open source. And it's free! We've got Allan Mustard of OSMF, Stefan Gustafsson of ESA, Tomas Straupis, Kirill Bondarenko, Danil Kirsanov, Evgen Bodunov, Rihards Olups and dozens of other speakers and OSM members. Do visit, and let's enjoy Riga together! See you there, Ilya
