* ~~Email password before the workshop so attendees can join the Jitsi room~~ per Erwin, this is not feasible on Jitsi
> I think a secondary sign-up is unnecessary. If it's time for the workshop, either disable lobby or change the room passcode (admins can do that). When a passcode is changed, the previous one will become invalid, so make sure presenters and informers are notified, in case they want to join again.
> Also, make sure you monitor your cap, otherwise those with passcodes can't enter if the room is full.
> Therefore, the most convenient way is to unlock the room, disable the passcode and allow participants on a first-come, first served basis. I suggest you cap it between 40-60 (probably less, depending on how many are assisting the workshop. per previous discussion, assisting the workshop is not the responsibility of the duty crew, and the floor is simply turned over to the workshop facilitators)[name=erwin]
