Potlatch NFT holders are general community members. #### Attributes - Purchased/minted once the user completes the Greenpill pledge: *I pledge ___% over ___ amount of my yearly income to (PluriverseDAO).* - Receive an NFT that represents ragequittable loot shares in the DAO. - The pledged funds go into a minion (safe controlled by the DAO) named *Potluck.* - *Potluck* funds are used to yield farm, never dipping below the principle. (Strategy discussed below.) - *Potluck* yields are transferred to another minion named *Desserts/Harvest/Bounty* (name TBD) that will serve as a compensation pool to encourage community involvement. - The Potlatch NFT allows token-gated access to the Pluriverse community commons for general discussion and meetings, composed of other Potlatch token holders. They also receive *read only* access to project channels. To join projects, the user will need to join a Bloodletting ceremony (described below). - They also are invited to propose and vote on Snapshot proposals relevant to community gatherings and social issues. **Community Snapshot proposals are 1 person, 1 vote.** - NFT holders are encouraged to send their NFT to others. This event triggers an airdrop of a Potluck SBT (soul bound token) to the givers EOA, providing access to the Potlatch Coordinape epoch where they can be rewarded/compensated for community activities while also burning their loot shares. #### Questions - Are Potlatch NFT in limited supply? - How might we increase the incentive to give away the NFT? --- ### Rite of Passage NFTs ![](https://i.imgur.com/RlUACoA.jpg =x400) #### Overview The RoP NFT represents a Master/Apprentice relationship, essentially a trust network. This curated and permissioned group are keepers of pluriversal canon, charged with maintaining the ethical alignment of the IP generated by the community. Functionally, they represent DAO operators and core contributors (service workers) for the working groups. #### Attributes - Master SBT provides a token-gated admin role to the holder, allowing moderation of Discord, project management tools, and (most importantly) membership shares in the DAO. Master SBT holders are the only users that can sponsor, vote, and execute on-chain proposals for the DAO. - Only two Master SBTs are minted to begin, for TW & KO. - Each Master SBT is accompanied by an Apprentice NFT, which is given away to someone interested in curating pluriversal canon. - Apprentice NFTs offer token-gated access to sensitive channels, some read-only. - Apprentices are charged with auditing proposals, collating data, and serving in leadership roles in the DAO. - Upon receiving an Apprentice NFT, that person will need to accomplish a certain number of trials to prove their trustworthiness, integrity, and value alignment. This may be tracked via a tool (Govrn, SourceCred, etc) or qualitatively evaluated by the Master. - Masters stake funds into an escrow contract for the duration of an apprenticeship. - At the end of an apprenticeship, the Master *annoints* their Apprentice, which toggles their Apprentice NFT to become transferrable and mints a new Master SBT for their EOA. The Master receives back their staked tokens plus a reward. If the apprenticeship fails, the Master's stake is sent to the DAO treasury (sacrificed). - Masters steward all of the DAO minions and are compensated by funding proposals submitted to the DAO treasury. *(Potential integration here with Collab.land, Orange, Hats, Govrn, etc?)* --- ### Bloodletting NFT ![](https://i.imgur.com/BCgcS2n.jpg =x400) #### Overview Anyone is able to join the bloodletting circle so spill a little blood towards conjuring more funds and potent coordination for the collective. Small sacrifices can add up to a greater good than might be possible for an individual to achieve. Bloodletters are community members that have proven their dedication through a demonstration of sacrifice. #### Attributes - Bloddletting ceremonies are conducted to attract devotees. - Each ceremony represents a unique yield farming position and serve as epochs/seasons for donating in interesting ways. Each ceremony will have its own minimum buy in. - During a ceremony, Bloodletting NFTs can be purchased by anyone as an unlimited mint. - During mint, the user specifies an amount to be sacrificed. - Minting sends the funds to a DAO minion named *Blood Altar* and produces a Scar SBT for the donors EOA. - *Blood Altar* funds are used to farm yield. Yields are either compounded into the DeFi position or sent to the DAO treasury to fund DAO ops (Masters/Apprentices) or directed towards specific projects (which will have their own minions/safe/DAO to handle their funds). - The Scar SBT designates ones willingness to sacrifice, a distinguished badge of honor that allows token-gated access to all communications and projects. It also allows holders to propose and vote on Snapshot proposals relevant to new ceremonies (DeFi strategies) and product ideas that the Masters/Apprentices should focus on. - **Bloodletter Snapshot votes are quadratic or donation weighted.** --- ### Notes on Compensation - Each role (Potlatchers, Masters, Apprentices, Bloodletters) have their own Coordinape circle for distributing recognition and rewards, as well as their own minions/safes. - Contribution and compensation is scaled in relation to the amount of funds directed to their minion, determined by a combination of how much yield is generated and how much is distributed at that epoch by the Bloodletters and Masters. - Potlatchers: distribute compensation for community stewardship, moderation, content production, marketing/Tweeting, etc. - Masters: distribute compensation for initiating, scoping, designing, and ideation new projects. - Apprentices: distribute compensation for participating in projects, which accumulate towards becoming Masters. - Bloodletters: vote/poll which projects, initiatives, or individuals are deserving of compensation based on that epochs outputs
