## Minutes
* Holding off on `v0.7.0` release for a bit longer for proton radiography patch
* Could hold off until next quarter
* Maybe a release every 4 months would be most reasonable
* Next release needs to include PR 1173
* Maybe unfreeze the feature freeze on a case-by-case basis until 1173 is done
* PR 1134 adding a feature to allow for better saving
* PR 1123? 1124? would be nice to get in
* Hack Week vids
* Erik has made NO progress :(
* ...
* Annual Report
* maybe organize a group meeting with out Grant officer to introduce ourselves
* **Still schedule in earnest to start writing the report Sept. 1st**
* Nick has started the documents already though
* See the private google drive
* How to query GitHub to get metrics?
* GitHub has a REST API
* https://docs.github.com/en/rest
* PyGithub is a python package that leverages the REST API
* https://github.com/PyGithub/PyGithub
* https://pygithub.readthedocs.io/en/latest/introduction.html
* How to query metrics from PyPI and Conda?
* https://pypistats.org/packages/plasmapy
* https://pypistats.org/api/
* Should create a metic form so we know what to grab each year
* [APS Engage forum data environment](https://engage.aps.org/dpp/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?GroupId=769&MessageKey=952b8307-c829-4f96-a829-3c88ae29042c&CommunityKey=bc7f21e7-ad44-4834-a83a-6eed2f30a2cf&tab=digestviewer&ReturnUrl=%2fdpp%2fbrowse%2fallrecentposts_)
* Nick tried to get a discussion started on how to make data (FAIR) Findable and Accessible... Interoperable Reusable
* Not a role for PlasmaPy put to be on our radar
* Should ask around to figure out the history of NASA open data policies. How did this get started? How did CDF files come into existence as a standard? How much resistance was there?
* Need a huge amount of infrastructure to make this happen. Would need dedicated funding.
* [MagNetUS meeting](https://sites.google.com/wisc.edu/magnetus2021/home/registration?authuser=0) was last week. Steve & David attended in person; Nick was hanging out on Slack talking about open metadata standards.
* MagNetUS came from a specific recommendation of the DPP-CPP report and the FESAC Long Range Planning report
* Some of the wording may have been more DOE specific
* Would it be worth us planning a meeting with labs? To help find out what would be useful in PlasmaPy for them.
