# Ophelia ## Week until 28th and 29th January. Prelude VII Let's finish the reading of new measures! Prelude I Precision, precision, precision! Sing and count when you don't have notes all the time to play. Cinderella Let's play it again in our next lesson. When you practice, follow the page you wrote after our last lesson with all the details of what we discussed. If possible, take a picture and ask the parents to send it to me! . . . . ******************************************************************************************* * Let's keep the homework of the previous week at the bottom, as short-term traceability. * ******************************************************************************************* <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ## Week until 6 to 13 November ### Prelude VII (Barbara Arens) Practice similar measures: 3, 5, 11, 13… Count and lean measure 4 #### --->>> 6 Nov Lesson starts where we stopped on the day before: (Count and lean measure 4) And then apply it to similar measures. The idea is to listen to the progression of the long notes notes connecting the harmony, while the harmony is soft. Then, slow down and practice the same part with LH + RH. If you want to pass once or twice the RH alone (before HT), it is okay Go ahead in groups of 2 measures + 1 note Remeber that we have similar measures throughout the music: 3, 5, 11, 13… and 4, 6, 7, 8... ### Prelude I (Barbara Arens) Groups of 4 to 6 measures You can apply the same logic we are using in the Prelude VII. Saying the obvious: LH: Left hand RH: Right hand HT: Hands together :) <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ## Week 20 to 27 November & to 11 December 2024 (until 10 & 11 Dec lessons) 26.Nov -> Practice during the time we would have our lesson 27.Nov -> Practice for 10 minutes. Have a glass of water. Ask one of the parents to record what you prepared. Probably one video for the Prelude I, one for the Prelude VII, and one for the Cinderella. One video for each, without repetitions. After receiving the videos, Julio will send new ideas to practice. ### Prelude VII (Barbara Arens) As we did during our last four lessons: Groups of two measures + 1 note: LH faster than usual. ### Prelude I (Barbara Arens) Groups of 4 to 6 measures You can apply the same logic we are using in the Prelude VII to practice LH and RH alone, before playing HT. Circular movements RH from measures 5 to 7 From measure 9 until the end, the RH has only rotation movement, not circular anymore! Saying the obvious: LH: Left hand RH: Right hand HT: Hands together :) . . . . . ## Weeks until 2025 (7th and 8th January) ### Prelude VII (Barbara Arens) As we did during our last few lessons: Groups of two measures + 1 note: LH faster than usual. For this part, practice the RH as we did on 17 and 18th December: without repeating what repeats, so you can play several measures playing only a few notes: dó-lá, ré-lá, ré#-lá, mi-lá-si-lá, mi-lá, ré-si, lá+dó. You can apply the same logic for the LH, taking care of the fingering: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 1! ### Cinderella Be sure to always sing the notes at the same pace. The measures 8 and 16 look similar, but they are not! The fingering is your ally: use the correct fingering and all the notes will right below the correct finger to play them. . . . ## Week until 14th and 15th January. ### Whatch the recorded video: Lesson 7.Jan.25 - B.Arens P.7 https://youtu.be/yXiQCdtzcwc You can see all the recordings, including yours, here, at our playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLS1buY70maDvW2s6c2RgzEENbTYlWUUnH&jct=B51igqBGkzLxen2VuxwSmzFrpN3biw ### Go until the end of this file and look for this line: "Weeks until 2025 (7th and 8th January)" Use those last ideas to improve your practice until our next lesson, adding what we discussed yesterday. . . . . ## Week until 21th and 22nd January.
