# Giada
## Week until 28th and 29th January.
We are looking for a new piece of music!
-->> Share with Julio (here or through e-mail/WhatsApp) some pieces of music that you would love to play.
Bach, P.1 -> Start playing on the measure 33 and glue the end with the beginning.
... Of course, practicing small parts is essential. "Nowadays, "Small parts" are groups of 4 to 8 measures.
Schumann, Landmann
-->> Small details we organised during our last lesson.
Satie, Gnossienne
-->> Practice the scale exactly like we did in the lesson!
-->> When playing longer parts, stop before the scale. Practice the scale. then you can go with the remaining measures.
ALWAYS:
When you practice, follow the page you wrote after our last lesson with all the details of what we discussed.
-->> If possible, take a picture and ask the parents to send it to me! <<--

## Week 12 December, (until 17 & 18 December lessons)
### Bach's Prelude I
One practice should be starting on 23, the climax, and then:
play the session 24-32 as a threat that continuously build up until the resolution of the first note on 32
but this Dó is becomes a false resolution!
Tell the story through the harmony, trying to find a closing, which only happens at the last chord
-->> Actually, there is only one chord in this music, and it is its last sound!
Practice the first part (from 1 to 23), developing a sense of tension and resolution througout the different harmonies / colours
Remember: We still have our plan to take care of the measure 13!
-->> Special care to measures 32 (check the notes)
-->> Special care to measures 33 and 34 (fluency)
### Schumann
Where is the recording?
Measure 12: RH -> check that you are playing the chord twice on the measure
Measures 13 and 19: RH plays Dó-Fá-Lá three times instead of only two.
Let's prepare for a semi-official recording!
### Gnossienne (We are keeping the same approach as before)
To read. Always:
Notes, of course. And also, fingering, dynamics (pp, p, mp, mf, f, ff), general ideas: Lent, Très luisant, Questionnez... and apply what they tell you!
Review the second page and memorize the page-1 + page-2 group.

# Weeks until 2025 (7th and 8th January)
### Applying notes in the sheet music
**Print the sheet music from the Google Drive (in colour mode, not B&W):**
Erik Satie, Gnossienne 1.pdf
J. S. Bach, Prelude in C Major BWV 846.pdf
Mignone, Francisco - Os soldadinhos passam.pdf
Schumann-Fröhlicher Landmann op. 68,10.pdf
Shostakovich, Kinderalbum für Klavier op69 n2 Walzer.pdf
---> Think and apply all the notes in the sheet music you use everyday to practice.
---> On a separate piece of paper you can write a short story or additional ideas for each piece of music you play. One page (or group of pages) per music.
### /////// The last few ideas we covered and you can keep in mind \\\\\\\

### Schumann
Measures 1 to 4 - Staccato without pedal, while 5 to 8, legato, with some pedal
Measure 12: RH -> check that you are playing the chord twice on the measure
Measures 13 and 19: RH plays Dó-Fá-Lá three times instead of only two.
Singing: When you sing, use the same articulation you want to your music, being it sttacato, legato, portato; which is also true for the dynamics, pp, p, mp, mf...
Let's prepare this for a semi-official recording after the holidays!
### Gnossienne (We are keeping the same approach as before)
Use the idea of "crunching" (from the 18.Dec lesson), to group the ideas throughout the three pages
Initially, you can use letters to name the groups: A, B, C, A', and so on.
Then, it would be interesting to give a name for each part that relates to its idea and emotion: walking, waking up, candle, sunrise...
It is always good to remember: the melody above everythin else. The bass is the second most important layer. The harmony (chords) must be softer than everything else.
Always:
Notes, of course. And also, fingering, dynamics (pp, p, mp, mf, f, ff), general ideas: Lent, Très luisant, Questionnez... and apply what they tell you!
