# 2022 T4 Cooking night w/ football ###### tags: `Karrinyup LNT Scout` ## Cooking Recipes ### Nachos #### INGREDIENTS FOR THE NACHOS - [x] olive oil - 1 large onion, **chopped** - minced beef x 250g? - [x] 2 garlic cloves, minced - 1 tbsp. taco seasoning - salt - 1 (15-oz.) can refried beans - 1 large bag tortilla chips - shredded cheddar / Monterey jack - 1 (15-oz.) can black beans, drained - 1/2 c. pickled jalapeños (optional) FOR TOPPING - 1 large tomato, diced - 1 avocado, diced - Sour cream, for drizzling - Hot sauce, for drizzling #### Directions - Step 1: Cook the nacho topping - Preheat oven to 220º and line a large baking sheet with foil. - In a large frypan over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion and cook until soft, 5 minutes. - Then add ground beef and cook until no longer pink, 6 minutes more. - Drain fat. - Step 2: Bake the cheese - Add garlic and taco seasoning and season with salt. - Cook until meat is well browned and slightly crispy, 5 minutes more. - Add refried beans and water to skillet and stir until combined. - Step 3: More topping and enjoy! - Add half the tortilla chips and top with beef-bean mixture, half the cheese, half the black beans, and half the pickled jalapeños. - Repeat one more layer. - Step 4 - Bake until cheese is melty, 15 minutes. - Step 5 - Scatter with tomato and avocado. - Drizzle with sour cream and hot sauce and serve immediately. ### Chilli Dog #### INGREDIENTS FOR THE CHILI - [x] Bacon - Beef mince 250g? - [x] Onion Powder - [x] Garlic Powder - [x] Chili Powder - [x] Salt - 8oz Tomato Sauce - [x] Ketchup - [x] Dijon Mustard - Chipotle Peppers (optional) - Worcestershire sauce (optional) FOR THE DOG - Beef Hot Dogs x 5 - Brioche Hot Dog Buns x 5 - [x] Oil - [x] Mayo / butter - Red Onion x small - Shredded Mixed Cheese #### Directions - Step 1: Cook the chili - Cook bacon until all brown - Add beef mince until brown and crispy - Dry seasoning: onion powder, garlic powder, chili powder and salt - Wet seasoning: Tomato sauce, ketchip mustard and mustard. - Optional: Chipotle Peppers, Worcestershire sauce - Step 2: Cook the dog - cook the hot dog with - Step 3: Combine and enjoy! - halved the hot dog buns and put on butter/mayo - combine bun, hot dog and chilie
