**Welcome to the mu Community!** the mu is a community to co live and learn, and build tools using blockchain tech and cryptography towards [real world problems](https://simplicable.com/world/real-world-problems)’ practical solutions. Let's make this ecosystem a safer, uplifting and pleasant place for everyone. **By attending any event hosted by the mu and by joining the mu official telegram chats, we understand you have read and agreed to these community guidelines.** These Community Guidelines are based on the mu's mission and values, and other inspiring communities (go to the end of the page). ## Encouraged Behavior - **Respect each other**: Treat fellow community members with kindness, empathy, and respect. We value diversity of opinions and backgrounds, and expect everyone to treat others with dignity. - **Celebrate our Differences:** We are all different because we need each other. Learn about each other and allow our differences to bond us. - **Protect our Space:** Remember to be respectful and constructive with your communication to fellow members. We are a community free from online, physical or sexual harassment and assault. Everyone should take responsibility for the community and take the initiative to diffuse tension and stop a negative threat as early as possible. - **Maximize this experience**: Get involved in the mu community, participate in available opportunities and make the most of your time here. It's also encouraged to help other members maximize their experience whenever possible. - **Consent:** We believe that consent plays a vital part in our connectivity and community. Our vision is that all parties participate in a physical encounter from a place of enthusiasm and autonomy. - Touch: Consent must be explicitly granted from an individual who is clearly in a state of mind to be able to grant it. - Foods: Disclose the ingredients, one person’s innocuous ingredient can be someone else’s allergy. - Photography: Ask before taking pictures. Remember consent to take a picture is NOT consent to post it on your blog. *Consent can be revoked once it’s been given. When in doubt, vouch for happy “yes” rather than uncertain “no”s.* - **Be helpful:** Make comments that will benefit other muvers and non-muvers. Add information or perspectives to the discussion. Share a new recommendation, or a unique perspective on an existing one. Give advice that will be helpful. ## Unwelcome Behavior **These actions are explicitly forbidden at mu:** - Insulting, demeaning, hateful, or threatening remarks; - Discrimination based on nationality, race, disability, gender (identity or expression), age, sexuality, religion, or similar personal characteristic; - Bullying or harassment; - Breaking consent in any way (see above); - Any actions or language that makes others feel uncomfortable or unsafe; - Use of legal or illegal drug substances in the mu central hub (co-working space); - Sexual exploration of any kind; ## Moderation and Enforcement In our mu areas, say: - Physical location (Central Hub co-working space, and other hubs), and - Digital means (telegram channel) we will always try to keep respectful, nurturing environment with interactions at a dignifying standard. The rules listed above are guiding us towards what's unacceptable and what's welcomed. To secure it, we'll take measures to remove attendees, if necessary. - On your first offense, you will receive a written notice from one of the Zuzalu core team members. You will have an opportunity to appeal if you feel that you were misunderstood or misrepresented. - On a second offense, they will be asked to leave the community and its communication channels.
