# Taz v2 (or Chronicles of Akasha)
## About the game
Inspired by Choose Your Adventure and writing RPG games, in Taz v2 (or Chronicles of Akasha) you’ll explore Akasha (meaning "sky" or "aether”), a world inspired by awarded Zelda’ setting of technology, magic, puzzles, battles, adventure, and mystery.
The game is choice-based and every interaction happens by how you react to the situation you’re in. You start in a prison cell and have no idea who you are, or why you’re there. But you want to escape.
Taz v2 (or Chronicles of Akasha) is unique by its use of blockchain to store and update game stats and users anonymous attributes using Unirep Protocol. With this, players own their data, their data is private and they can transfer their data between different games and provide other developers with verified data for their own games.
## Rounds
The game is divided by chapters; if you play it on a daily basis, you’ll finish 1 chapter per week. During each round, you can check your Life and Stamina as trackers and the main limitations to the game’s daily challenge.
If you lose all your life, you start over or from a checkpoint. If you lose all your stamina, you stop playing that day. Find ways to rest before your stamina is depleted and you might have just enough energy to see what’s coming the following day.
Your Character
As you don’t know your name yet, let’s not spoil it and keep it hidden for now. Eventually, however, you’ll discover that you have several traits that you can improve or ignore throughout the game.
Your stats will be stored in the “reputation” segment from Unirep’s contract and be manipulated with bitmasks, each stat will have an specific amount of bytes dedicated to it varying from 1 up to 4. Each user will first need to create a Semaphore Identity and then with the identity set up their initial stats and then start playing, if the user wants to port their stats to other games, he can do so using his Semaphore identity. Any other game developer creating an anonymous portable stats system can use this system for reference.
The 9 stats are:
1. Limited by how you distribute XP points
- Strength
- Constitution
- Dexterity
- Perception
- Charism
2. Limited by your game choices and challenge results
- Gold
- Items
- XP Points
- Level
## Story and Challenges
For each path you choose, you’ll land in a different place and eventually draw a unique storyline. Who knows if you’ll become leader of the main city Nagari, or chief of a Resistance movement against it? The more you play, the more you discover your character and Akasha’s mysteries.
Facing challenges is not an option, but how you deal with them is up to you. You will be able to use stealthy dexterity and sneak by a magic creature, or fight head on a city guard. In case you find puzzles, your intelligence stats can guarantee you’ll have extra tips. Win a challenge to get your reward!
As you move through the story, they will encounter different types of quests and enemies. These encounters will present you with Enemy, Puzzle, or Luck types of challenges, each testing a different stat and offering different rewards. As a choice based game, you can choose how to face each of them, according to your stats or humor. For example: In a combat challenge, you can choose to "Fight the monsters head-on", using your Strength stat, or "Try to sneak past the monsters" using your Dexterity stat, or "Use magic to solve puzzles and open hidden paths" using your Intelligence stat. You can spend a talisma or make an offering to invoke Lady Luck to assist you with a particular task.
