# How CGPA is Calculated

You will be awarded a grade based on your makrs with respect to others.
Following are the grades awarded in our college.
| Grade | Points |
|:-----:|:------:|
| S | 10 |
| A | 9 |
| B | 8 |
| C | 7 |
| D | 6 |
| E | 5 |

Also, each course have some credits (refer to your scheme for that).

Let's say you have $n$ subjects in a semester with credits ($s_1, s_2, s_3, ...., s_n$) and grades you got in them are $(g_1, g_2, g_3, ...., g_n)$.
Then,
$$
\text{CGPA} = \frac{(s_1\times g_1) + (s_2\times g_2) + ..... + (s_n\times g_n)}{s_1 + s_2+s_3+....+s_n}
$$
