# WTF is clrfund?

Once upon a time in May'20 an idea was born for a [Trust-minized quadratic matching tool](https://ethresear.ch/t/trust-minimized-quadratic-matching-clr-fund/7352). It uses [BrightID](https://www.brightid.org/) for sybil-resistance and [MACI](https://github.com/privacy-scaling-explorations/maci) for collusion-resistance.

Fast forward 2 years and clrfund has ran quite a few rounds! Here are some you can check out too:

This time we're [running a round for ETHColombia](https://ethcolombia.clr.fund/#/projects)! Let's explore how to contribute.

# Sign in to the page
Like any typical Dapp, you need to sign in with your Ethereum account!

## 1. Main page - click on top right to connect

## 2. A pop-up asks you to choose your wallet, pick the one you use!

## 3. Arbitrum is used for low gas fees, so make sure you're on the right network!

## 4. Connect your account

## 5. Sign a message with your wallet to authenticate!

# Get set up for the round
So the key idea here is sybil resistance therefore BrightID ensure that it is a single individual taking part in the round and not one person with multiple wallets.

## 1. Click on start prep

## 2. Read the instructions and make sure you already have BrightID! If not [please follow the steps here](https://brightid.gitbook.io/brightid/getting-started)

## 3. Open your BrightID app on your phone and scan the QR code!

## 4. It will ask you to link the app

## 5. Voila, linked!

## 6. Now you can see it in your BrightID App

## 7. Once that's done, register for the round itself by clicking 'become a contributor'

## 8. All it does is to sign a transaction

## 9. Did I mention gas fees? Don't worry its negligible. Sign it and you're ready!

## 10. Voila now you are ready to view projects and take part in the round

# Contributing to the round
Here's the fun part, pick your favourite projects!

## 1. Simply click "Add to cart" and it will show up on the right tab with your shopping cart

## 2. Once you're ready, click "Contribute # DAI to # projects"

## 3. Make sure you confirm on the pop up above!

## 4. First you need to ensure the DApp can move your DAI, do this by approving the contract

## 5. Then, approve the transaction to send the DAI!

## 6. Oh no! A bug. Well it's okay just Retry. Trust me, it'll work

## 7. After sending the transaction again, you can see the transaction on the block explorer yourself. Verifiability is amazing isn't it?

## 8. Now if you want to change your allocations, you can do that on your cart too. Just make sure you finish it before the round ends okay!
