# S. Korea's Paradise March casino sales up 130pc year-on-year
Casino sales at Paradise, South Korea's foreign-only casino operator, rose 129.5 percent in March from a year earlier, data showed Tuesday on the Korea Exchange.

Revenue of about 42.71 billion won ($32.6 million) compared to about 18.61 billion won in March 2022. However, it was down 3.8% month-on-month.
Table game sales rose 137.0% year-on-year to nearly W39.09 billion in March this year. Compared to February earnings, they were down 7.0%.
Paradise Corp.'s machine game sales in March rose 71.2% year-on-year and 54.1% sequentially, just under KRW 3.63 billion.
The company's monthly update does not provide a comment on the reasons for the earnings change.
Paradise's total casino revenue in the first quarter of the year was about 135.21 billion won, up 151.5% year-over-year.
Calendar sales through March 31 rose 162.0 percent year-on-year to W125.7 billion. Machinery sales rose 64.4 percent year-on-year to W951 billion.
Table Drop – In the first quarter of this year, the amount customers exchanged for chips at tables, up 252.0 percent year-on-year to just over W1.26 trillion. In March, the company's casino table drop was close to W425.41 billion, up 17.4 percent from the previous month and up 226.3 percent year-on-year.
Paradise Co.'s latest casino figures are based on the results of four venues operated by its casino business division: Walkerhill in Seoul, Jeju Grand on Jeju Island, Busan Casino in the southern port city of Busan, and Paradise City in Incheon, near the main international airport serving the Korean capital, Seoul.
Paradise Co's fiscal 2022 net income was KRW 25.49 billion, a loss of KRW 52.53 billion in the previous 12 months.
