As Macau gaming and travel stakeholders predicted, the Christmas season has brought strong visitor activity to the region. GGRAsia reported that city officials recorded more than 362,600 visitors, including Dec. 23-25. According to the report, public security officers arrived in the city during the holiday season, averaging about 121,000 visitors per day.

According to GGRAsia, the daily average of tourist arrivals during the Christmas season was stronger than was recorded during China's National Day, which was held in the fall, including eight festive days. The busy tourist season, which lasts more than a week, reported an average of 116,546 visitor arrivals per day, according to the sources.
The same source reported that the Christmas holiday brought the most daily visitors to Macau with 133,603 on Dec. 23. As for Christmas Eve on Dec. 24, the city welcomed 120,594 visitors and 108,446 tourists chose the gambling mecca for Christmas on Dec. 25. According to figures released by authorities, this means that the city recorded a total of 362,643 visitors during the Christmas period. On average, the city's daily visitors were 120,881 during the three-day holiday.
