# Wake-On-Lan (WOL) Settings

This note shows you how to enable and use the WOL.

## BIOS Preparation

Take the ASUS Motherboard for example, go to "Advanced" -> "APM comfiguration", enable "Power On By PCI-E".

## Ubuntu Configuration

1. Get the MAC address of your Ethernet network interface controller.
