# PH x VN -- OSM collab

> I've been chatting with Huy from the OSM community in Vietnam, and one of the things that came up is whether our respective communities (PH, VN) are interested in doing an activity together where we can share experiences, and learn from each other. Timezone difference is negligible, and we'd probably use English as a medium.

* What would you like to know more about the VN OSM community?
* What do you think are topics that will be interesting for contributors in PH & VN ?
* How might you participate in such an activity?

## Meetings

### 1st August, ideas from initial meeting -- (Huy, Nga, Erwin)
* Show & Tell/Meet & Greet format. Less technical session for first planned activity.
* it doesn't have to be a mapathon, it can be a skill-sharing activity, or lightning talks for on-going /planned projects and activities by the community
* call for presenters to share about respective community initiatives, etc. lightning talk format (with time cap, or max number of slides)
* the first session will be more of a "getting to know you" stage, to give everyone some idea where each community is coming from
* **Language** will be in English, but VN mentioned that they are ready to help with translations, especially during Q&A sessions
* the activity could be a model for future interactions with other LoCos in Asia
* **Frequency** - Activity can be done once a quarter, or maybe once a month, as more communities join in so hosting and organizing can rotate among LoCos
* **Duration** 60-90 minutes
* **Target date**: end of August, or early July
* Timezone difference between PH and VN is one hour
* Participation is open to everyone, especially for PH and VN volunteers, others can be invited.
* Platform: Jitsi seems okay.
* Community socmed activity. VN is active in facebook, PH is more active in Telegram.
* Jitsi (used in the meeting) is feasible platform.
