Goals
* end goal: find more volunteers
intermediate goals:
* make the project known to a general product
* get more users from the general public
* get the project known in much greater detail in a more specialized audience
## Press attention
* sometimes "political": e.g. our open data mission when we see gov fail. This is very hard
* just for "a good story". This is less hard, but still quite difficult. Successes so far:
* "open source google streetview for all of Brussels Region"
* national mapathon
## Website refresh
Does our website best lead to understanding what OSM is all about, and
## Newsletter
Works well in general, but we lack a method to consistently send things out
## Participation in conferences
Feels useful when we are there
But quite expensive. How to decide whether it makes sense? How to optimize the usefulness of our presence?
