Usage of OSM data in disaster relief field works

This hackpad is to collect usage cases of relief teams in disaster field works.

### Tzu Chi

- ~Use OSM to indicate the current place of TzuChi relief team for people on the web.~ OSM data is part of Tzu Chi's toolkit for discussion and planning relief works.

### KLL (Kathmandu Living Labs)

- KLL received printed map using OSM as primary layer from the Department of National Defence, Canada. We have also heard requests from the HOT community for images and
documentation about how the maps are actually making an impact on the
ground; we have been relaying those requests to the organizations in the
 field. If you are someone that is using maps in the field, send us
pictures or a few sentences about what you are doing so more volunteers
are inspired to map Nepal even better!

- (According to Nama Budhathoki at SotM TW 2015) The military used OpenStreetMap data to identify locations and sizes of [IDP](http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Internally_displaced_person) camp, so that they can monitor and bring supplies to them.  The military needs update-to-date information about this, and they were demanding new info every week.
- (According to Nama Budhathoki at SotM TW 2015) The government used OSM data to assess road blockages.
