Dear OSC Delft members,
*What are some questions and concerns regarding practicing open science that you have had, or your colleagues have asked?* Please [let us know](https://forms.gle/vzhVEVZcmzubAzvW7) to help design the new TUD open science website!
In the last two months, we welcomed 15 new members to our community! :tada: We're looking for ideas for new [community initiatives](https://osc-delft.github.io/initiatives) and events - please get in touch (email, on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/oscdelft) or [GitHub](https://github.com/osc-delft/ideas-and-plans)), I'd love to hear from you.

**Announcements**
- Congratulations to Mark Schelbergen, PhD Candidate in Data Champion Roland Schmehl's group, for receiving an honorary mention for the National Open Initiatives Trophy! [Read more about the awardees and Mark's work](https://opensciencefestival.nl/the-open-initiative-trophies/)- an interview with Mark will follow soon!
- The TU Delft Library launched a new browser extension that you can use to access Library content from home - it also points to open access versions of articles and books! [Find out more](https://www.tudelft.nl/library/access) and install it today.
**Opportunities**
- [4TU.ResearchData FAIR data funds](https://data.4tu.nl/info/en/use/fair-data-fund/) offers researchers up to 3500 EUR to make their data FAIR. Applications are open until March 31.
- [Wellcome Open Research Fund](https://wellcome.org/grant-funding/schemes/open-research-fund) provides up to 100k GBP for 2 years, for projects that incentivise researchers to make their health research more open, accessible and reusable. Submit a concept note by March 12.
- A reminder that the [NWO Open Science Fund](https://www.nwo.nl/en/calls/open-science-fund-2020/2021) is accepting proposals for projects advancing open science, until April 1 (possibly beyond as their system is recently hacked)- [find out more about how the TUD open science programme can support your application](https://openworking.wordpress.com/2021/01/06/nwo-open-science-fund-support-for-tu-delft-applicants-and-grantees/).
- The DCSE is hiring a data steward to support and provide training to researchers wishing to use HPC resources at TUD - [apply by March 22](https://www.academictransfer.com/en/298110/data-steward-hpc-training/).

- [Data, Society, and Open Science III: challenges for data management and data-based research](https://www.makingdarkdatafair.com/event-details/data-society-and-open-science-iii-challenges-for-data-management-and-data-based-research), March 30, online: The third roundtable discussion organised by the Making Dark Data FAIR project, which aims to provide an analysis of why data goes “dark” – becomes non-reusable – in the first place, to develop concrete strategies for how we might best enact the FAIR principles in an effort to reduce dark data, and finally to interrogate the FAIR principles themselves.
