Describe in brief what you are building and what problem you are solving** Ordum is building a public good grants aggregator for the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems. There is currently around 500,000 USD + available through this type of financing in the ecosystem, however, the main obstacles are: - scattered documentation and information - multiple complicated application processes - difficulty of identifying the most suitable grants On the other hand, the ecosystem is in great need of an accountability system for deliveries for decreasing the amount of fraud caused by applicants and foundations. We are experimenting with non-transferable, permissionless NFT credentials for the purpose of designing an optimal reputation based system. **2. What experience does your team have in the project’s area?** **XyloDrone/ Ela Stipicic** UX/UI, Project Management - Joined the ecosystem in 2021 as a UI designer for KodaDot and later RMRK, MetaPrime, ChainSaw (ETH), deStore, VYBEZ. - Conducted 2 months of UX/UI research for the design of Ordum - Project management skills from previous production work - Broad knowledge of the ecosystem and basic knowledge of technological restraints --- **Mrisho Lukamba** Blockchain Developer (Rust & Substrate) * Joined the ecosystem in 2021 during the APAC hackathon as a Rust developer. * Worked with Fair Squares team and did receive grant from Web3 Foundation. * Accepted in Polkadot Academy --- **Ivo Nikolaev** Frontend Developer (JAvaScript, React) * Receatnly made the switch to Web3, being very exited to learn more about it. * Working for Ordum, learing how to deal with indexers, IPFS, Kusama, Dot and others --- **3. Include links, videos, websites, and any other resources you'd like us to know about** Ordum’s mission is to unlock the power of grant financing for teams and individuals within Blockchain. The world is full of issues and we can’t tackle them all ourself, the only way forward is to help fund projects which bring users, disruption and change within our industry and beyond. The foundations and chains are looking for builders and use-cases, builders are in need of financing and education. Ordum aims to be the bridge between these two parties. **Problems:** - scattered grants and information (DotSama and beyond) - complex application processes - lack of accountability systems **Solutions:** - Front end(React) displaying on-chain and off-chain grants with Subsquid APIs and PHAT smart contracts - Customisable profiles and processes available for foundations via Ordum; built with Phat smart contracts and front end - Designing an on-chain reporting and accountability system with DIDs(KILT), non-transferable NFTs(new standard) which are “certificates” aka “reports” from foundations on milestone deliveries.
