## O-RAN Introduction
O-RAN goals: openness (open interface) and intelligence.
Openness means to drives all interface into open standard so that there are compatibilities between vendors.

ORAN separates CU into 2 parts: CU-CP and CU UP

CU-CP and CU-UP will communicate using E1 interface.

CU and DU communicate using F1 interface.

Near RT can collect data from CU-C and CU-P using E2 interface.

Purpose of E2 is to collect data, thus it has 2 types of sub protocol based on functionality:
1. e2sm
2. e2ap
