What brought you to the forum?]* * Melanie - Communicas Collaborative - First meeting and here to get involved with OCF; currently working on a project with as fellows with NA Assoc. for Environmental Educators to transform lawns to food production spaces * Sebastian - Proofing Future - Saving intro for presentation spotlight * Josh - HEKLER - artist run feminist platform looking at hospitality and conflict through archiving, pedagogy, residencies, and in-person/virtual events; excited to meet people and be here * Bobby Joe - Communications Organizer at OCF - Great chance to meet all of the collectives * Mike - Program Manager at OCF - Hosts forums and onboards new collectives * Nathan - Program Manager at OCF - Glad to be here and talk with all of the groups * Laurie - Open Food Network - One of twenty instances of an open source commons for folks who are supporting local food systems * Ebony - Cooperative Journal & Artist Fellow OCF - Here to learn more about collectives and offer support for storytelling about your work * Luc + Jacq - Circle City Mutual Aid - Had a snow day and wanted to connect with others in the community * Duane - Head of Open Source at Indeed and running Digital Infrastructure Grant collective * Hannah - Black Banjo Reclamation Project - cultural arts based self-determination and reparations project; more than banjos which includes education, music, and supporting Black communities culturally; has been able to raise funds through social media; still curious about how to earn a salary from the work with the project and trying to make things more sustainable * Emily - FLOWLab - Resonates with Hannah about trying to make projects sustainable and raise funds to pay team members; excited to meet other people doing good work * Sourav - Currently working as community manager and previously worked at Open Mined; excited to learn more about the Foundation side * Lori - Civic Hacker Network - only attended one previous forum and glad to be here * Robin - Cooperative Journal & Artist Fellow at OCF - working with Ebony to uplift the radical stories of collectives hosted by OCF * Ying - individual artist working to support some of the collectives hosted here * David - Communicas Collective - working on neighbor to neighbor project; moving from great idea to getting some things done; have now settled contract at NAEE and have a meeting w/principal funder; direct work with neighborhood organizations to develop permaculture precincts; also partnering with community organizations by narrative and educational work; learning how to partner effectively with orgs to cultivate shared ownership and participation * Nia - Artist Fellow OCF and Baltimore Roundtable for Economic Democracy - able to support groups with comms and storytelling * Joe - Sustainable Progress and Equality - under fiscal sponsorship for going on two years; they are a research and development collective to make the world better; provides mentorship and tech skill development to people from underrepresented communities; interested in collaborating with other collectives to solve problems that they have **Proofing Future Presentation** **Review of [new updates](https://opencollective.com/foundation/updates) from OCF** * Use the awesome Comms team that has formed and post things in the #news channel on Slack **Agile Check-Ins (What are your blockers?)** * Lori - Question about opportunity that Open Collective shared about funder who is paying $1800 for stories about workers - advised to follow up directly with funder since we did not have an immediate answer * Joe - Question about Offers and Needs opportunity in the ecosystem with a lot of discussion in Slack and wants to know how to participate in moving this initiative forward - advised people in the forum to reach out directly * Mike - Offers and Needs channel did come up within a team; offered to provide some scaffolding to help the convening group come together **Offers and Needs Market** * Join Emily Weltman at CoWork for FLOWLab Fridays **Closing**
