HPA run 10 (image issues sorted) + 2 new studies. Stats upcoming - Upcoming workshop at EBI - NGFF - hyperspectral use-case (re-emergence of D.O.o.F) - similar to historical FLIM use case - good time to capture new things - JSON-LD discussion at ELMI - following J. Bogovic's presentation, good discussion around metadata. Working on wrapping jq - Zarr V3 work reboot - zarr-python contributions could use more reviewers - NGFF paper - working towards v5. Upcoming clean-up + making v5 read-only and refer to lines. Deadline for sending paper is July 19th - Releases - N/A this week - OMERO.insight announcement - OMERO.mde paper upcoming - Glencoe - Introducing Muhanad Zahra (biological data science specialist at Glencoe Software) - Upcoming work on lossy compression in Zarr. Will raise the chunking/dimension order issue - Josh: hoping to be able and drop the dimension order over the summer - Seb: any suspicion we might come back to the Samples dimension problem (cf recent aicsimageio discussions) - Chris: people can extend their modality. Certainly losing some metadata at the moment. Harder for the client which has to guess - Josh: multiple napari threads. Each layer == 1 color map. Want to attach metadata. Introducing some form of object model. Similar question for Zarr i.e. introduce some layer concept? - Similar problems with original file formats e.g. YCbCr etc - Moving towards releases of bioformat2raw/raw2ometiff/isyntax2raw - Also making the latter more easily installable by the community - Community - No planned workshop post EBI analysis in Summer ## AOB (5 min. max; tech. Discussion should be highlighted to relevant people and rescheduled) ## Main Topic (20-25 minutes plus 15 minutes questions max)
