- IDR (Frances)
- idr0167 idr0171 ongoing. Last studies to be released before migration of IDR to UoD

- OMERO
- Seb: Planned server release: OMERO.server 5.6.17 [GitHub project](https://github.com/orgs/ome/projects/33/)
- includes Bio-Formats 8.4.0
- Few infrastructure PRs opened then ready to release Java components
- Also planning to OMERO.py 5.22.0 and OMERO.scripts 5.10.0
- OMERO.server release February 2026
- Tom: working with Remy on omero-autotag. Bigger release to support more types. Petr OK to test? Will add as a reviewer

- Bio-Formats (Melissa)
- 8.4.0 released last week
- 8.5.0 date not set yet.
- ome-schema discussion yesterday. Will pick this up later in the year.
- JM: building insight (dmg etc) is getting harder. getUsedFiles() changes? No.
- Not released Insight for a while. Still using older version of Bio-Formats

- NGFF
- Johannes:
- GerBI PRs last week - docs
- RFC5 PR merged. Minor changes after approval.
- Call for "sprint" to v0.6 till end of January
- Then we can announce spec phase (Feb)
- RFC-5 Updates ([board](https://github.com/orgs/ome/projects/31)) -- implementation time :man_dancing: Johannes?
- Josh: time to think about implementing RFC-5
- JM: need reference test data sets.
- Johannes: spec says what transforms readers "should" support - affine etc, not displacement
- ome-zarr-call (just now)

- Still a place for ome-zarr-py in the ecosystem
- Will: drop support for iteration through nodes. e.g. Image.get_children
- RFC-3 & RFC-4 movement beginning thanks to Chris
- RFC-8 upcoming meeting thanks to Norman
- NGFF PR review meetings slowly starting thanks to Tiago https://github.com/German-BioImaging/incubator/issues/36
- Ramping up on 1.0 (New board TBD) -- more people likely wanting to join meetings
- Docs team (e.g., GH mentions)
- Joel: what repo for v0.6? What about my issue on relasing alpha-numeric characters for Plate Well names. https://github.com/ome/ngff/issues/380
- Johannes - if no objections, please open a PR. Anything in ngff-zarr that would break?

- OME2026 registration open: https://gerbi-gmb.de/event/ome-2026-community-meeting/ (more on www.o.org?)
- Hackathon planned on May 1st (but not on website yet)
- Damien: Internal discussions on OME-Zarr schema with Damir. Some additions are simple, can be described in plain text. Others will need schema additions. Will use LinkML. Damien will work on Java support (not well supported currently). LinkML already adopted by several projects
- Josh: DIN, i.e. ISO working group, membership
- napari-omero repo now under ome

- Glencoe (Chris)
- imgData API in omero-web, handling exceptions, storage backend info etc. Can be used by various clients

- Community
- 11th Feb workshop in Karolinska
- ELMI 2026 in Portugal
