## Project Status

- IDR:
- Release end of April (Thursday) idr0072 and idr0063

- NGFF
- v0.2 out (depends on zarr-python 2.8). Upgrades as the next step. PR coming...
- Seb: issue with https://ngff.openmicroscopy.org/0.2/ to review post meeting
- v0.3 movement led by Constantin (meta-thoughts as well). xarray & nczarr?
- New PR - feedback welcome
- Polygons also in progress
- zarr_implementations, slowly but surely unifying
- Bugs being found and fixed
- Seb: should v0.3 include more features to make the migration worthwhile?
- Jason: revisit our proposals re: metadata
- Josh: json-ld

- Releases
- JDK/TLS & OMERO.server (Seb)
- OpenJDK 8 & 11 LTS drop support for TLS 1.0/1.1 (Apr 20,2021)
- Java update will break some aspects of server/client connections most notably import
- similar issues to the past (https://blog.openmicroscopy.org/tech-issues/2015/07/21/java-issue/)
- affects primarily CentOS 7 systems. Ubuntu/Debian/CentOS 8 already needed to generate self-signed certificates server-side
- initial testing shows the same self-signed certificate workaround is now mandatory on CentOS 7
- rolling over (TODO):
- deployment tools: Ansible role / Docker
- documentation: installation guides, reference documentation
- advisory? announcement? image.sc post?

- Chris: Glencoe routinely generates certificates
