## Accepting minutes from [last meeting](https://hackmd.io/team/ome?nav=overview)
## Project Status
(2-3 minutes each)
- IDR (Frances):
- next release idr0119 importing - large screen.
- NGFF work ongoing. Meeting tomorrow 10:00
- OMERO
- Seb: CLAs - pushed repos to private openmicroscopy to audit contributors. Developing tools to assist reviews.
- Bio-Formats (David)
- 6.14 minor release close to ready. Last few PRs being reviewed. Likely to close breaking PRs. Expect to release next week
- 7.0.0
- First major release for a while
- Mainly remove woolz reader
- Include any other features?
- Bump sl4j-api to 2.x - https://github.com/ome/bioformats/pull/3956
- Chunk API - https://github.com/ome/bioformats/pull/3794 - Implement in Imaris to test performance etc.
- Melissa - concern on impact of release 7.0.0 on schedule. Good to get it out soon. Can always release 8.0.0 soon?
- David - can do some testing and see if chunk api looks ready
- Josh - How much do we care about "marketing" of a major release with "new features"?
- Chris/Melissa - no harm in having a "boring" 7.0.0 release
- NGFF (Josh)
- [Fiji inclusion discussion](https://imagesc.zulipchat.com/#narrow/stream/328251-NGFF/topic/Bio-Formats.20Importer/near/369676801)
- creates a better impression for Zarr import to "just work" - good for users
- But issues with amazon sdk bundling for devs
- Erin: helps promote OME-Zarr adoption. "not just for devs". But update site route isn't a problem
- Chris: using update site gives us more control. Less maintenance burden than bundling in Fiji
- Josh: update site sounds good for now (no objections?). Can progress to bundling later
- netCDF in maven central? Josh to reach out to them
- Tables Update (see [newer proposal](https://github.com/kevinyamauchi/ngff/pull/3)) - code sample added
- ZarrResources weekly --> more regular meetings
- covers ngff.openmicroscopy.org etc
- could also cover ome-zarr-py issues
- But NOT spec discussions
- Erin - no objections
- Seb: but OK to include spec clarifications?
- Josh: yes, this is really "docs"
- GerBI (Josh)
- webtagging - pushed to GerBI repo. Split autotag and tagsearch?
- page redirects there from Micron Oxford (previous location)
- Seb: needs Django 4.2 compatible update
- Glencoe (Chris)
- readthedocs - paid-for no adds? June - will follow up
- Blog post out with CentOS/RHEL support info
- Might say "all containers will be Debian"
- Josh: community have started migrating - hold off?
- Chris: maybe need a follow-up post in a few weeks to clarify our position.
- merge-ci config. Good to sort out http vv https issuse
- Chris: should we take over Django 4.2 changes? Will: yes please
- Community
- Petr & JM: trip to Japan - Global BioImaging course. OMERO, OMERO.figure, analysis etc. IDR, Bio-archive.
- Canada/US: (end July-early August) Montreal workshop 2 days McGill. 2 Days in Tuscon Arizona
