It is a new global wireless standard after 1G, 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. 5G wireless technology is meant to deliver higher multi-Gbps peak data speeds, ultra low latency, more reliability, massive network capacity, increased availability, and a more uniform user experience to more users. Higher performance and improved efficiency empower new user experiences and connects new industries. 5G towers and transmitters use more antennas and higher frequency band radios resulting in faster speeds and response times. 5G enables a new kind of network that is designed to connect virtually everyone and everything together including machines, objects, and devices. Common part for 5G, IoT and AI: * Huge money investment * Using Big Data, Mixed/Cross Domains. Convergence of 5G, AI, and IoT: * 5G, AI, and IoT trigger distruption and innovation in multiple industry sectors. * Ecosystem-based Innovation approaches are key to differentiation * Digitalization Challenges = Great Professional Opportunities 5G Applcation based on usage scenario: * High latency and High BW(eMBB): Smart Home/Building, 4K TV * High latency and Low BW(mMTC): Smartphone/Tablet * Low latency and High BW: Autonomous Car, Autonomous Machine * Low latency and Low BW(URLLC): Traffic light, Automatic parking system Opportunities of 5G enables new vertical market revenue. Challenges of 5G: * CAPEX increase: Ultra dense network, mmWave * OPEX increase: Networks becomes increasingly complex with the advent of 5G, densification, and, richer and more demanding applications. ### Comment 5G is the best network breakthrough in this era.
