Scala Love conference. Instruction for track owners.

Track owners set up and introduce speakers, manage the Q&A after each presentation and make sure sessions run on time.

Before the conference

  1. We will need your email associated with Zoom account you are going to use.
    And your hours of availability. Please fill this form.

  2. Make sure you are a host of the webinar
  3. Find the speakers bio here
  4. You can discuss with the speaker how they want to be introduced
  5. The schedule will be up soon, stay tuned!

During the conference

To set up a speaker make sure

  1. All your speakers updated to the latest version of Zoom
  2. A speaker promoted to the panelist in case it's not done automatically

    • The image file may be corrupted
    • The server hosting the image is unavailable
    • The image path is incorrect
    • The image format is not supported

  3. A speaker can share their screen
  4. A speaker turn on their video and audio

  5. A speaker turn off their notifications (slack, messager, skype and whatnot)
  6. All panelists and you turn off video and mute before the speaker's started

To introduce a speaker

  1. Feel free to improvise and cheer up the crowd!! <3

To manage the Q&A session

  1. If have time, read the questons from the Q&A section, check slack channels for questions
  2. When it's time to wrap up please share the link to another room where attendees can talk to a speaker (will be provided). Make sure the speaker goes there too.
  3. Optionally. Downgrade the speaker from the panelists
