Streetwise 2.0
===
We have collected over 30'000 responses since launching the [Streetwise](https://streetwise.space) project, which included research into alternative street-level [Image sources](https://github.com/Streetwise/streetwise-data/wiki/Image-Sources).
We focused on using and improving Mapillary as a data provider, who have been supporting our work primarily via valuable technical feedback from their engineering team. They have featured Streetwise in their [community](https://twitter.com/mapillary/status/1260304053684383745) and we discussed ideas for how we could potentially expand our partnership. Since becoming part of the Meta group, the discussion with Mapillary has not continued.
We were also as a team focusing our energies elsewhere the past years, however - recently [a publication](https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-031-08965-7_10) about the project, [a webinar](https://www.geosummit.ch/webinare-2022.html#open-data-und-crowd-sourcing) in the geodata community, inquiries from [researchers](https://irl.ethz.ch/research/stl/forschung/abgeschlossene-projekte/streetwise.html) and municipalities in visualizing the data, have reignited the topic.

### What we need from a sponsor
1. More images - we have rarely hit Mapillary quota limits, and are hoping to be able to continue collecting about 10-20 K images per month.
2. Segmentation API - having tagged information about images could strongly increase the quality of our data.
3. Time with an engineering team, if they can help us to refine queries to improve the data collection approach, help with post-processing or image display, provide overall feedback to the app, etc.
4. Continue to help promote Streetwise through tweets and newsletter, especially once we have new results and could do coordinated blog post or case study.
5. Sponsor a participation incentive or developer event in a future project phase.
### What we can offer
- Put your logo prominently as official partner on our website https://streetwise.space (~1.5 K monthly unique visits) in addition to existing documentation.
- [Metropolitanraum Zürich](https://metropolitanraum-zuerich.ch/), who provided the grant that funds this project, represents city development concerns for 42% of Switzerland. We can promote you through this network and recommend you as partner for future projects.
- We have developed quality feedback in our app, which could provide data points for you through our user's responses.
- Our team at [cividi](https://cividi.ch) works with the [OSM.ch](https://osm.ch) community, and can organize crowdsourcing campaigns to identify and improve gaps in the data.
- Our project is [open source](https://github.com/Streetwise) and the code can be used as an example for others. We could additionally write a tutorial, report on the data quality feedback, brainstorm further related use cases.
- Media attention through our project partners and their newsletters, which cover the entirety of German-speaking Switzerland (bspw. [Ron Orp](https://www.ronorp.net/zuerich/rons-tipps/archiv/newsletter-2/3625)).
- We can help organize a crowdsourcing-themed meetup or hackathon in Switzerland.
