It is especially fun to play together. At the 24-hour Game Jam, games are developed that are particularly suitable for this purpose. As part of the PlayBern Festival for Games and Creativity, games are being tinkered with at the Reitschule cultural center in the capital of Switzerland. The 2020 festival theme is **"Games without Borders"**. The games we design should be as accessible and barrier-free as possible: fun to play for all ages and despite physical or mental limitations. Jam participants will begin work and beginners be invited to an introductory workshop livestreamed on Friday October 16 at 10:00 (UTC+1), form a team or work individually, and develop their own games using their own or openly licensed content. They are supported by experts. 24 hours after the start of the Game Jam, the results will be presented on site and on the Internet on Saturday October 17 at 10:00 (UTC+1). Anyone aged 18 or older can take part. Children are welcome on site in the company of adults, or submit their games online. Programming skills are not required - creative ideas will be implemented in teams, supported by experienced game designers, and game makers are allowed. Participation is free of charge. *Submission details — Shown on the top of the submission dialog as someone is adding their game* *Fields -- Create custom fields to allow entrants to provide addition data with their submissions. Avoid changing fields during the submission period to get consistent responses. Fields can not be changed after the submission period is over.* What kind of controls does your game have? Have you thought about particular physical or mental conditions in designing the game? In a few words, how would you say your game fits the theme "Games without Borders"? *Twitter hashtag — Submitters will be prompted to tweet this tag after submitting* #playbern2020 # Team - Oleg Lavrovsky, +41 76 306 07 39, oleg at utou.ch (Facilitation) - Pasquale Pompe, +41 79 463 99 96‬, positiv at gmx.ch (Technik) - Elisabeth Blättler, kontakt at elisabethblaettler.ch (Promotion) - Bettina Wegenast, playbern@fabelfabrik.ch (Event Organiser) - Levyn Schneider (Game Jam Helper) # Moodboard https://www.begh.ch/game-jam http://fabelfabrik.ch/events/play-bern-2019/ https://www.eventbrite.com/e/younger-older-game-jam-berner-generationenhaus-tickets-74826549223# https://bka.ch/artikel/worte/verspielt https://twitter.com/alexisgiard/status/1193091628052996096 https://twitter.com/pachukipachuki/status/1192529592864645122 https://twitter.com/Trogambouille/status/1192511496175140867 ![](https://www.dachstock.ch/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/IMG_1483.jpg)
