Since it realese in july,17 2017 Lian has been jumping in and out of the meta what has been consisting is in the casual setting for that reason lian is one of the most controvresial characters in paladins going from a overpowered champion to a weak champion depending you ask in reality lian is just a pub stomper in a team with no comunication or specific champions. lian can snowball if the enemy team is not well organize seeing lian as a poweful pick but a the other side thier the case the team is organized lian became useless there is many factors in this mainly her kit the uninspiring kit of lian is hard to balance since it main gimmick is autoaim a mechanic that is not well recieved in the hero shooter community since keeping this in mind buffing her will lead being unfun to play against her and nerfing her will make lian unfun at the moment lian is a sharpshooter,burst,duelist,and aoe champion you can say she have alot but at the end is nothing she can do alot of stuff but none of them great in this rework i want to enfesise in her sharpshooter and duelist capabilites compesating lian for precise aiming instead of timing and cooldown make her a powerful mid range champion and a 1v1 duelist. #### Royal Decree Lets start with a new passive ability. passives help with the balance of a character since it can make her kit synergys with it. The main points of the passive will be recompasiting lian for hitting her shots and gave a her a advantage if she helps dealing with specific targets. Royal decree will work at follow for each killing blow lian gets on a target lian will mark the target at the end of the round lian will get 20 credit from the mark target as taxes this can be apply 5 times making getting 100 extra credit if lian kills target this can be only applied 3 times on the same champion per round meaning lian can steal 60 credit from one and 40 from other or steal 20 of each memeber of the enemy team . what this passive do if lian is good at the first round she will gain an advantage over others and since her abilities count as woepon shots she benefit more by having more items the passive itself dont affect gameplay so is not a hard requirement to learn it but if you wanna optimized she can focus a specific target and making him get behind in items or will help at learning to switch targets to get the most of it. So her gameplay is not affected at all with this passive she gain a benefit by already doing what you suppose to do but if you actually keep in mind the passive the benefit is higher and can damage a enemy player in the long run if use it correctly. ### ABILITIES #### VALOR ![](https://i.imgur.com/NEDDsSl.png) Current valor is A Fire a charged weapon shot to hit all enemies in sight with your rifle for 400 damage with a base cooldown of 8 seconds it have a 1 frame startup and it applied items effect even do this ability just do 400 damage it can be frustating by the enmyside being shots or kill randonmly when low health and since instant there is no counterplay besides dont get low in the other hands bad lians player will just spm it whenever they have it more experince player will save it for a burst combo with the other abilities or wait for finishing kills that menas the only skill with the abilitie is waiting and as know the ability cant miss so even if you just spam, it gaves a benefit to apply caut to the enemy team. so the current valor give alot of reward for pressing 1 button sometimes so in zits current state if it buff it will be fustraiting to play against and if it nerf it will be useless ability in this rework we look: * To benefit players more for hitting the ability * Still have some kind of value even if it miss * A aoe aspect to help with multiple enemys So with aspects in mind the new valor is a temporary buff to your gun when activate lian next 2 shots will spread in contact, the shots will not go away until lian shots the 2 charges and the cooldown start until the 2 shots are fired, after a small windup of 7 frames (same time as tiberius Trance)the next 2 shot when fire if they collide with a enemy or deployable or shield will spread in a cone shape from the first target dealing 450 damage to anyone it hits first and 400 damage it hit behind it. ![](https://i.imgur.com/9l24yfE.png) for any referencce you can see it like medusa from smite with her acidic spray what this ability accomplish is rewarding lian players hitting thier target, if the it hits the floor it will explode but it will just do the 400 damage in a small area and the projectile have a limited range at certian range it will do the small explosions this ability is for group enemys not for sniping. #### PRESENCE ![](https://i.imgur.com/i4CCwCq.png) As for now presence is a long-range piercing weapon attack that deals 800 damage to enemies presence dont need any balance changes as it stand now is a good ability for sniping and close encounters for burst the only changes it need is a better visual hitbox and a better vfx indication you have been hit by it just a small Qol. #### GRACE ![](https://i.imgur.com/RrfxBsF.png) Quickly dodge and fire off a deadly shot with your weapon that deals 400 damage.this ability get you free disengage and engage with 400 damage secure, even do is not that powerful of escape it leaves attackers in disavantages for just pressing a button in the rework we look: * a fast mobility engage and disengage * Good for people jumping you in but have more counterplay * have a higher skillcap and reward fore using the ability correctly So the new grace will still have the same animation a quick dash to the direction of choice the first change will be inmunity frames on start up you gain immunity frames at the start of the dash making dodging abilities more consistent and counterplay some burst champion second will be at the end of the dash your next basic attack is empowered this empowered shoot deal 50 extra damage and cripple the enemy for 1.5 seconds. By removing the damage of grace lian gets utility a cripple can be highly effective against flankers that jump on you so they cannot use their mobility .with the added damage means lian can get a shot 400 + valor for 450 + presence for 800 + greace 450 doing the combo correctly will give a whooping damage of 2100 one shotting flanks like Evie,Maeve,Koga the skill will come when to use the combo do you start with the cripple so they dont escape the combo or end in cripple so you can follow with weapons attack all depends on the player giving a high reward for hitting your ability and punish for missing it. #### ENLIGHTENMENT ![](https://i.imgur.com/fhvhnSc.png) Channel the power of your noble blood and take reduced damage and launch the embodiment of your house to deal 1600 damage to your target. Even do this ultimate is call the *i win button* is fairly balance since it have a wind up so is reactable the only changes will be Qol changes making the projectile that is a bird more visible this can help the lian player to aim the ability or the enemy can react better to it. ### TALENTS #### ALACRITY ![](https://i.imgur.com/48rN70s.png) OLD:Reduce the Cooldown of Grace by 1s and cause Grace to hit all enemies in front of you instead of only one. NEW: After using grace if the empowered shot hit a enemy champion the cooldown is reset this can only proc once This will be a talent focus in mobility if you hit your first shot after the grace you will be able to dash again the effect of crriple and bonus damage stacks meaning if you hit both shots its a cripple of 2.5 seconds #### EMINENCE ![](https://i.imgur.com/Fr686Zq.png) Increase the damage of Presence by up to 50% based on the range at which it hits and reduce its Cooldown by 4s. As state before presence didnt need a change this talent enable a good burst on lian at longe range now that lian have cc and good close tools the value of bonus damage be change. #### PRECISION Hitting an enemy with Heirloom Rifle increases your Heirloom Rifle damage against that enemy by 7% for 3s, stacking up to 4 times.
