8 Speakers: Who and When?

Twice a week throughout the course, we invite someone to speak for an hour, which includes the content of their talk and some time for questions from the cohort. ## Who and when? Speakers are often, but not necessarily, FAC alumni. There are people FAC consistently asks to speak on particular subjects, but as CF you are also encouraged to reach out to new speakers. They are invited to speak from 5-5:45pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. As a rule of thumb, Tuesday speakers' talks should relate to the technical content of the week, whilst Friday should relate to employment or culture after FAC. For example, React week's Tuesday speaker might talk about React Native, and on Friday the speaker might talk about their experience graduating and finding their first job, and what they learned from the experience. In practice, you have to aim for this whilst prioritising people's availability.
