# Coaching B - June 29 with Founders and Coders --- :sparkles: Welcome Back! :sparkles: --- Today's session will be a brief (re)introduction to the programme. ---- Everyone here has either been on coaching before, applied before or both. ---- There are a number of different tracks through our coaching programme. ---- Everyone here is interested in applying for our next cohort. The application window opens in September. ---- These workshops will support you as you prepare for applying to our full time programme. --- ## What is coaching? ---- Learn to code through peer-led learning :two_women_holding_hands: ---- You'll be assigned a study group with a few others on the programme ---- Focus on learning together and supporting one another over rushing ahead on your own :woman-running: ---- You'll be assigned a coach for the programme ---- Your coach is a guide :mage: not a teacher :mortar_board: ---- Outside of these sessions, you'll need to do some coding every day ---- Take hold of your learning and push yourself to learn new things :stars: :cloud: ---- We can lay out the path but you have to walk your own one ---- This might be working on kata, reading articles, following tutorials, building websites... ---- Share your knowledge on Discord :bulb: --- ## What we'll focus on ---- Setting goals and achieving those goals ---- Building or building on your application website :female-construction-worker: ---- DOM manipulation ---- git and GitHub ---- Solving challenges --- ## A rough curriculum ---- 1.
