# Users Your user is anyone who wants to interact with and can benefit from your project. Next week, you will conduct: - user research - user testing --- ## A 'good' user Involving users from the beginning is crucial to a successful software project. You need them to challenge your assumptions, catch your blind spots, and validate your priorities. In terms of who they are, they are likely to want to use your app for some reason. They also differ enough from each other that you don't have a homogenous set of results. --- ## Research For Monday, you need to - find at least six users - book a time to speak with each of them, 30 minute meetings at 2pm, 2.30pm, 3pm and 3.30pm - meetings are 2:1 - one of you will lead and the other will take notes - swap pair between meetings, and swap roles --- ## Testing For Wednesday, you need to - set up 20 min slots with your users at 11, 11.20 and 11.40 - ask them to navigate your wireframe - keep them talking about their experience whilst you make notes --- ## This is just prep We will be going into much more detail ahead of your meetings with users next week, including how to shape your questions, and how to conduct both the research and testing. For now you just need to find and book users at the right times.
