# Meetups
> Yvonne/Dan, 21/9/2020
Re-start meetups at 4.30-6pm on Wednesdays; make them for everyone and make sure that we resource them properly.
## Why?
1. We made [a 90-min space in the schedule for community engagement](https://github.com/foundersandcoders/coursebook/issues/164) back in June, which will enable current students to participate;
1. Given our limited resources, it is probably preferable to avoid regular meetups outside work hours, even if this makes it harder for some applicants to join the sessions;
1. Given that we have time scheduled for it and 16 students available and can put different groups in breakout rooms, it probably makes sense to invite all different groups at the same time each week and then split them up, as needed, instead of at different times.
## How?
1. It probably makes sense for all staff members to make ourselves available at the allotted time;
1. Invite all FAC20 students to participate every week;
1. Our role would be facilitate the different groups of applicants and to support students to be good mentors;
1. We can ask mentors to follow the [Guidelines for coaches](https://www.notion.so/foundersandcoders/Guidelines-for-coaches-5b15aedc579e41a6932dfde174a1307f).
## When?
The sooner the better and before FAC20 get used to using all of Wednesday afternoon for employment preparation.
## Who?
Yvonne to take the lead; all of us to participate.
## Cost
Our time.
## Risks
What are the risks of this proposal?
| Risk | Mitigation | Impact | Likelihood |
| -------- | -------- | :--------: | :--------: |
| Few people turn up | Be prepared to shift the time | High | Low |
| We are short of mentors | Make it a requirement for FAC20 | Moderate | Low |
| It is challenging to manage | Ensure that we are all involved | Moderate | Moderate |
| This time excludes people working office hours | Gather feedback from people who cannot make this time | Low | Moderate |
## Meetings notes
### Critical concerns
- Gregor: How will we group people at meetups? I think we should have a clear process that helps us be and feel prepared ahead of time.
- Jack:FAC20 would be happy to help in whatever capacity, the concern would be people who have jobs and cannot join
- Oli: Is this really the best solution to not working in the evneings?
