# Moving back to Space4

With the relaxing of government measures around COVID-19, specifically those that allow classrooms of reduced numbers of people to work under certain restrictions, please find our plan for FAC in Space4 in the coming weeks.

First of all, we neither encourage nor discourage using the space. Space4 is simply an alternative workspace for those interested in using it. And fair warning, the internet is about 80% good.

We will allow up to 8 of you to come in if you want to, but **the course is still remote-first**. *We will only allow up to 2 people from each team in each day. See the table at the end of the document.*

The learning environment and experience will be optimised for remote workers; the space can be used for its internet connection, limited kitchen use and toilet facilities. There are also additional responsibilities that come with using the space which you can see in the **Safety precautions in Space4** section below.

Workshops and projects will take place in exactly the same way as they do at the moment: pair programming over one's own computer and through Zoom, going through solutions in a shared online breakout room, and project teams still organising via online channels.

Space4 is used by other people as a coworking space. As you'll see, those people work in a different area. However, you will have shared access to the toilets and kitchen facilities. Please be mindful of other users and do not cross into the workspace unless necessary. You can contact Polly on [e-mail] or 07556539232 if you have an queries about the space. ## Safety precautions in Space4
### Getting in
**Check your WhatsApp group for door codes from Jack, KEEP THIS SAFE AND DO NOT SHARE PUBLICLY**

There are anti bac wipes when you enter, please use these on the upstairs code panels after you use it.

There is also anti bac hand gel - **use this whenever you enter the space**.

### Desks
People will work in the main classroom at a distance of at least 2m which will be marked out.

### Headphones
Please bring them. This is very important!

### Time
Come in anytime from 9.30 onwards - we will be doing check in over Zoom at 9.45. You will need to leave at 6pm following checkout.

### Sanitation
One person per day will volunteer to wipe down all working surfaces with antibac wipes (provided) before lunch and before leaving the space.

### Kitchen
The kitchen can be used for making hot drinks - **please bring your own mug and cutlery etc**. If making tea for someone else be sure they're comfortable with this!

### Toilets
The toilets can each be used by one person at a time (there are two available).

### Further protection
One mask per person will be available to wear indoors if you want to, or out and about, and gloves will also be made available for the cleaner.

### Swapping pairs
You can discuss within your teams if for whatever reason you'd like to swap or take someone else's place.

This will ensure that there is minimal pair programming within the space, which will be challenging with mic echo.
If you do come in, we recommend you mostly pair with remote teammates for this reason.

### FAC staff
There will always be a FAC member of staff in the space to talk through these procedures in the morning, ensure there's a voluntary cleaner, and to check people are leaving on time.
